Last year’s debut of NAMM Musikmesse Russia looked really promising. Just a year passed, it’s May 2013 (same dates, actually), but I’ve got an impression that the trade fair is running out of steam.
There is too much empty space within the same halls. A large part of the Forum Hall was reserved for the “lounge area”, though I can not imagine what could make you tired this time. However, I can easily imagine you would like to take a short rest during NAMM Musikmesse Russia 2012 — the trade fair was really alive, and you would need to take a breath for a couple of minutes before you plunge again into its busy atmosphere to inspect all kinds of new products. In contrast, NAMM Musikmesse Russia 2013 was… well, quiet.
If not for a small booth filled with ethnic musical instruments, I would even say this year’s NAMM Musikmesse Russia was a yawn.
